Edyta Kocyk at the plenary session “Women create innovations”

SiDLY co-founder and winner of the VI edition of ’’Sukces Pisany Szminką” Businesswoman of the Year competition had the privilege of attending the third plenary session “Women create innovations” as the only representative of telemedical company dealing with innovative telecare devices.

On 30th of June at Copernicus Science Centre took place a conference „Lean in STEM How to support women in science and technology ” organized by the CEO of Educational Perspectives Foundation – Bianka Siwińska. The conference focused on STEM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and civilization changes connected with the increasing activity of women in technical and science fields.

One of the partners of the conference was Embassy of the United States. Key note speech gave special guest – Andrea Jones from NASA agency, responsible for projects supporting young people, especially women, interested in the sciences.

Among guests invited to “Women create innovations” panel, apart from Edyta Kocyk, were Daria Tataj – CEO of Tataj Innovation, Katarzyna Walczyk – CEO of Top 500 Innovators Associacion and Marta Duvall – CEO of Polish Women Scientist Network. The host of panel was Professor Anna Rogut – Chairman of the NCBR – National Research and Development Center.

The conference was an excellent opportunity to exchange views and experiences on supporting the Polish innovative companies internationally, especially in the US. SiDLY as young technology company, received many valuable tips, which definitely will be useful during international expansion.
